We have a huge database ready and waiting.

Search this database for more than family names. You will need to think laterally as some items are listed by the person's first name ie: William Johnes, not Johnes William as expected.

Also remember the name may be entered phonetically, or spelled with double or single letters. You will also find paddle steamer names, events, places, and much more.

There may be a lot of information, or not much at all, however, all these names are on our database for a reason.

We update our in-house database regularly, so if your name is not here please ask a researcher.

Our Research Database is available for download in these three sections.

Please note that we hold all editions of the local newspaper "Riverine Herald" from 1863-1997 on microfilm. Editions of the "Riv" from January 1869 to December 1954 and  March 1998 to December 2001  have been uploaded to Trove.  Papers from 2002 forward are available in the EHS Research Centre.

If you require research please give us plenty of time and an approximate date.

Our volunteers are working tirelessly to have the indexing completed.  Editions from the 1960's to the 1990's are currently being indexed. This project is ongoing, so stay tuned as new indexes are added regularly.
