If you are visiting Echuca, or live here locally, take a little time out to support the volunteers that keep our heritage alive, come visit us at the Echuca Historical Society Museum.
Volunteers don't need to be computer literate, (although typing skills would help). There is always a manual job waiting for attention.
For example: setting up exhibits, typing copy, filing documents, maintaining machinery exhibits, customer service - the list is long
You will need to spend some time learning how, what, where, when etc., supported by a trained volunteer member. There is always someone willing to assist your learning process.
Please note: All volunteers are now required to have a Working With Children Check and a Police Check. Please contact staff, as discounts apply to a portion of the cost.
Thanks to those volunteers for Heritage Project who are now indexing the Riverine Herald seven days per week .
With the extension of the society's premises we need volunteers for front office reception. This prime Saturday spot has become available...work one day per month or more if you wish....if we had 3 or 4 volunteers for this spot a flexible roster will be operating.
You will play a vital role in welcoming visitors to our museum.
Other positions could come online over this winter as volunteers head for the sun
